The Ottawa Police Service is appealing for witnesses as it investigates antisemitic vandalism at a Sandy Hill field. Nazi swastikas, also known as hakenkreuz, and a neo-Nazi term were spraypainted on the grass and on a City of Ottawa sign at Robinson Field at the south end of Sandy Hill on Sunday. A police spokesperson confirmed to CTV News Ottawa the hate and bias crime unit is investigating. Anyone who may have witnessed this or who has information is asked to contact the Hate & Bias Crime Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2015 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. On Thursday, police said they were investigating graffiti of a racial slur on a Rideau Street mural and also seeking witnesses.
