An Ottawa police officer is facing charges in connection to off-duty incidents, according to police. Kingston Police say the officer was arrested and charged in March with assault and criminal harassment. The individual was released on an Undertaking. According to police, Ottawa police asked Kingston Police to further investigate the individual, which resulted in the officer being charged with careless use and storage of a firearm. The accused was rearrested on Monday. The officer was released again on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court. In a statement to CTV News, a spokesperson for the Ottawa Police Service said they would not identify the individual as the incident involves intimate partner violence. Police did not provide any other details.
