A 31-year-old driver will be without their new car for two weeks after being stopped for stunt driving in Ottawa’s south end. The Ottawa Police Service says a Road Safety Unit officer observed a vehicle “coming up behind him passing vehicles” on Limebank Road near Tom Roberts Road last Thursday. The driver was recorded going 136 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. “The 31-year-old driver had just bought the car four days earlier,” police said. The driver was charged with stunt driving, which includes a 14-day vehicle impoundment and the driver’s licence suspended for 30 days.
