The record for greatest rainfall for Ottawa on July 9 is 61 mm, set in 1952. Ottawa received 118 mm of rain on Canada Day. The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud today with a 40 per cent chance of afternoon showers. Environment Canada says there is a risk of a thunderstorm. High 27 C with the humidex making it feel like 32. It will be partly cloudy tonight with a 40 per cent chance of evening showers. Low 16 C. Sunshine is expected on Saturday. High 27 C. The sunny conditions will continue on Sunday. High 29 C. The outlook for Monday calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 20 C.
