Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a person was found dead in a community south of Ottawa this weekend. In a news release Saturday evening, police say officers attended a home on Crowder Road in Spencerville where one person was located deceased. “Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threats,” OPP say. OPP tell CTV News Ottawa the death is being considered suspicious, while the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Residents of Spencerville can expect to see an increased police presence as an investigation continues. Spencerville is located about 80 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa in the Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP.
