Canadian online furniture retailer Cozey is opening an eight-month pop-up location in downtown Ottawa next month. The Montreal-based retailer, which is known for its ‘sofa in a box’ and other modular furniture items, is looking at Ottawa as a possible site for a permanent bricks-and-mortar store, a company spokesperson tells CTV News Ottawa. “We want to be able to allow the Ottawa and Gatineau citizens the opportunity to experience Cozey physically by interacting with our products and our team in an experiential way,” said Félix Robitaille in an email. “The objective with the pop-up is to confirm our interest of settling in Ottawa for a permanent retail location.” The pop-up store will be located at 137 Rideau St. It will showcase products on two floors and will include a “design centre where customers will be able to configure their dream spaces with our experts,” Robitaille said. “We have selected the city of Ottawa for our only Canadian pop-up store of 2025, as this is one of our top performing markets online,” he added. Cozey began operating solely online in 2020 before launching its first permanent storefront in Toronto in 2024. The Ottawa pop-up store will open on June 12.
