The Ottawa Police Service says one person was injured in a shooting on Merivale Road on Saturday. Police say a fight broke out between two “large groups” at around 7:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of Merivale, near Meadowlands Drive. Shots were fired into a vehicle of people involved in the incident and one person was shot. The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said. Two people were arrested at the scene but later released, pending additional investigation.
