Those heading to the second day of the Tulip Festival by transit were met with delays due to disruptions on O-Train Line 2 Saturday. At about 2:30 p.m., OC Transpo said trains were only running at the northbound platform towards Bayview Station at Carleton University and to expect delays on the line. About two hours later, another notice said trains were being held at some stations, while service was suspended between Dow’s Lake and Mooney’s Bay. R2 buses were made available for riders between Bayview and South Keys stations. As of 7 p.m., service was restored but trains were only running at the northbound platform towards Bayview Station at Carleton. “Please listen to on-board and station announcements for more information. We are working to resolve as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience,” OC Transpo said in a social media post. Lines 1 and 4 did not report delays. The Canadian Tulip Festival is expected to bring thousands of visitors to Commissioner’s Park, serviced by Dow’s Lake Station, this weekend. OC Transpo did not respond to requests for more information or the cause of the disruptions.
