O-Train service resumed in Ottawa’s east end Tuesday afternoon after an issue with the ventilation system at St. Laurent Station disrupted service at four stations. OC Transpo announced at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday that due to a “ventilation issue,” and there was no train service running between Blair and Tremblay stations. R1 bus service was running between Hurdman and Blair stations. At 12:10 p.m., OC Transpo announced on social media that regular train service had resumed in the east end. In a statement to CTV News Ottawa, OC Transpo’s media relations department said the ventilation issue was identified at 7:27 a.m. at St. Laurent Station. “The service disruption on Line 1 this morning was caused by water damage to the electrical systems that powers the tunnel ventilation system at St-Laurent Station,” OC Transpo said Tuesday afternoon. “This issue is not related to the structure or previous corrective work at the station. We appreciate customers’ patience as our teams worked quickly to resolve this issue in order for Line 1 to resume regular service.
