Move 100 flips the switch to Ottawa’s Christmas music station

MOVE 100 is your Christmas Music station this holiday season! Sophie and Jeff join Melissa to tell us more!

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas on Move 100.

This morning at 9 a.m., Move 100 flipped the switch to become Ottawa’s Christmas Music Station, playing 100 per cent Christmas music 24/7 through the holidays.

It kicked off, naturally, with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

The annual tradition is one of the hallmarks of the Christmas season in Ottawa.

“We’re Christmas people,” Jeff Hopper, of Sophie & Jeff in the Morning, told CTV Your Morning Ottawa. “We actually think we should have done it earlier. We push our management all the time. We’re like, let’s go, it’s November 12th, let’s do it!”

Sophie Moroz says listeners have been calling for it.

“People were asking, ‘When are you going to flip? We’re ready,’” she said.

“This week, it started with all caps, ‘WHERE IS THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC?’” Jeff said.
