An Ottawa woman waited six months to pick up her multi-million-dollar lottery jackpot. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. announced on Thursday that Jodi Jonescu of Ottawa won the $5 million Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot on April 26. Jonescu purchased the winning ticket at the Metro on Merivale Road. Lotto 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday. The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize. Earlier this month, Bernard Brian Woodsworth of Carp cashed in a $5 million winning ticket, the top prize in the $50 Instant Extreme lottery. In August, David Hatt of Kingston won $75 million in the Lotto Max Jackpot.
