McDonald’s will soon be opening in Ottawa’s Old Ottawa East neighbourhood. The fast-food giant confirms to CTV News Ottawa that a McDonald’s restaurant will be located in the Milieu building at Des Oblats Avenue and Main Street. “We can confirm that we will be opening a restaurant at this location, but we don’t have any details to share at this time,” a McDonald’s spokesperson said in a statement. “We’ll be happy to provide more information as we get closer to the opening date.” The closest McDonald’s locations to Old Ottawa East are Bank Street in the Glebe and on Elgin Street. The Milieu building has 125 suites, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The Mainstreeter first reported McDonald’s was opening in Old Ottawa East.
