A man was transported to the hospital after being assaulted with an edged weapon in Stittsville on Saturday evening, Ottawa’s emergency services say. According to Ottawa police, officers responded to Brightside Avenue, where an individual had been assaulted with an edged weapon, shortly before 9:40 p.m. Ottawa paramedics say they attended the scene and transported a man to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Ottawa police did not say if any arrests have been made but did say the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
