A man suffered serious injuries after a stabbing in the ByWard Market Monday evening, according to Ottawa paramedics. Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps tells CTV News Ottawa that emergency crews were called to 140 George Street between Dalhousie and Cumberland streets at approximately 7:20 p.m. An adult man with stab wounds was found at the scene and was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition, Deschamps says. The victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening. The Ottawa Police Service says there is no risk to public safety. There was no word of any charges or arrests. An investigation is ongoing, police say.
