A teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck while driving an e-scooter in Ottawa’s ByWard Market on Thursday. According to Ottawa Paramedics Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps, paramedics attended a collision at the intersection of Clarence Street and Dalhousie Street around 11:35 a.m. Deschamps says a teenage male was struck by a vehicle while travelling at a low speed on an e-scooter. While paramedics initially said the e-scooter driver was in his late teens, Ottawa police said in an update he was 14 years old.
