The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the homicide death of a 25-year-old man in the city’s east end on Saturday night. Police say the incident occurred at 9:25 p.m. in the 500 block of St. Laurent Boulevard. In an update, police identified the victim as Omar Jonathan Grant of Ottawa. Police say one person is in custody but no other details were provided. An Ottawa paramedics spokesperson tells CTV News two men were found injured at the scene. A man in his 20’s was found with “penetrating injuries.” He was transported by paramedics in critical condition and later died in hospital. Another man in his 30’s was found with a head injury and taken to hospital in stable condition, paramedics say. An investigation is ongoing.
