The Ottawa Police Service says a man has been charged following an investigation into posters around Bells Corners that were targeting a specific woman. Police said the posters had been going up since July in the Moodie Drive and Tyrell Place neighbourhood. Ottawa police told CTV News Ottawa that police are aware of at least eight posters having been put up on light posts and community mailboxes in the neighbourhood. Police would not comment on what the posters said. The person who was targeted filed a police report and last week, Ottawa police arrested one person. John Violette, 46, is charged with criminal harassment by repeated communication and criminal harassment by threatening conduct. Ottawa police continue to look for witnesses and say there could be additional victims. “There may be additional victims but unknown methods at this time,” police told CTV News Ottawa.
