Police say a man has been arrested following a suspicious incident involving children in south west Ottawa. According to a news release from Ottawa police, four children under the age of 12 were approached by an unknown man in an SUV near the Munster Community Centre in Munster on June 17. Police say it was reported that the man made inappropriate sexual comments toward the children and then left the area. Police arrested the 50-year-old man, but charges were initially pending. In an update on Friday afternoon, police said the man was charged with four counts of invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age and four counts of harassment by threatening conduct. The accused was scheduled to appear before court on Thursday.
