Ottawa drivers can expect delays on Highway 417 in Centretown this weekend due to construction. According to a statement from the City of Ottawa, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation will be undertaking construction on the highway between Preston Street and Kent Street. The city says construction will begin Friday at 9 p.m. and continue until Monday at 5 a.m. The following closures will be in place: “Motorists can expect congestion and delays, including on City roads around this weekend’s MTO highway work,” the city said. “The City of Ottawa will be monitoring the flow of traffic over the weekend and will make adjustments to the transportation network where needed to help mitigate impacts. Please plan ahead and drive safely.”
