A popular children’s indoor playground in Orléans has closed its doors, effective immediately. Kids Kingdom Amusement announced the permanent closure of the business on Trim Road on Sunday, June 23. “We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the families, children, and staff who have been a part of our journey over the years. Your laughter, support and smiles made Kids Kingdom a truly magical place to play and grow,” Kids Kingdom Amusement said on Facebook. “Like many businesses, we faced significant challenges in the wake of COVID. Despite our best efforts to adapt, the changing landscape has made it impossible for us to continue.” Kids Kingdom Amusement had an infant play centre, am inflatable cliff, climb and slide and a castle play structure. According to the website, Kids Kingdom Amusement was offering summer camp for the summer. “They loved it there,” said Stephanie Pilon, a parent, while talking about her three boys aged six, seven and eight." “It was a great place for the kids, was a nice area for the parents to set and stuff. And there’s food and. Yeah, it was a good place.” “The boys say they really enjoy it there. And like, we’d go there once a month at least. on rainy days we would go. And yeah, it was, devastating for them anyway,” Wesley MacDonald, another parent said. CTV News Ottawa also reached out to the business owner, but did not receive a response before airtime.
