A listing on Carve Real Estate shows the restaurant on Wellington Street West is for sale for $199,000. Absinthe opened in 2003 and is a “modern bistro, using locally sourced ingredients, prepared in an inventive and sophisticated manner,” according to its website. According to the listing, Absinthe is licensed for 85 patrons and has two “permitted patios.” “This turnkey restaurant features a complete commercial kitchen with a 12-ft. commercial hood, one walk-in fridge, extensive cooking equipment, refrigeration, and prep stations,” says the listing.” “A large basement provides additional storage and operational space, including two washrooms. Available with training for a new owner or for rebranding into a different concept or cuisine.” It’s the latest in a series of restaurants listed for sale in Ottawa. The Prescott in Ottawa’s Little Italy neighbourhood was listed for sale in August. The price has dropped to $399,000.
