City Centre Avenue fight results in two stabbed, one arrested

Ottawa police say a man was arrested following an altercation on City Centre Avenue early Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from police, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a verbal exchange escalated into a physical confrontation involving five individuals. Police say two people were stabbed during the fight.

Following the fight, a third man was hit by a vehicle containing three of the individuals involved in the altercation. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Police later located the vehicle and arrested the man who was driving.

None of the injuries are considered life-threatening, police say.
