Ottawa motorists will receive some relief at the gas pumps this weekend. Canadians for Affordable Energy president Dan McTeague says gas prices will drop six cents a litre at stations in Ottawa and eastern Ontario on Saturday. Gas will be selling for an average of 170.9 cents a litre, according to McTeague. Ottawa gas prices dropped two cents a litre Friday morning. The drop in gas prices comes after the cost of a litre of gas jumped eight cents on Wednesday to an average of 178.9 cents a litre. Gas prices dropped 13 cents a litre last week after word of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran appeared to hold.
