Here’s what’s open and closed in Ottawa for Thanksgiving

CTVNewsOttawa.ca looks at what is open and closed in Ottawa on Thanksgiving Monday.

OC Transpo

• OC Transpo buses and O-Train Lines 1, 2 and 4 will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday
• O-Train Line 1 will run from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• O-Train Lines 2 and 4 will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Rural Shopper Route 103 will not run on Monday.
• The Rideau Centre OC Transpo Customer Service Centre will be open on Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Para Transpo regular booking and recurring trips for Monday are automatically cancelled for Monday. You can book a trip by calling 613-560-5000 or using My Para Transpo.

Green bin, recycling and garbage collection

• There will be no curbside green bin, recycling or garbage collection on Monday. Pick up will take place on Tuesday, and collection will be delayed by one day all week.
• Multi-residential garbage containers will be collected on the regular scheduled day.
• The Trail Waste Facility Landfill will be open on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Client Service Centres

• Ottawa’s 3-1-1 Contact Centre will be open on Monday for urgent matters only
• All ServiceOttawa Client Service Centres will be closed. The counters are located at Ottawa City Hall, Ben Franklin Place and 255 Centrum Boulevard in Orléans.
• The Provincial Offences Court at 100 Constellation Drive will be closed on Monday.
• The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed.
• The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed.

Other City of Ottawa services

• All municipal childcare centres will be closed on Monday
• All Ottawa Public Library branches will be closed on Monday.
• Most recreation and community buildings will be closed on Monday. The city says select pools, arenas and fitness complexes will be open on a modified schedule.
• All city-run arts centres, theatres, galleries, and museums will be closed on Monday.
• The Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, City Hall Art Gallery and Karsh-Masson Gallery at City Hall will be closed on Monday.
• The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed on Monday.
• The Ottawa Public Health Sexual Health Clinic and satellite clinics will be closed.
• Dental clinics will be closed.
• The Ottawa Public Health Site mobile van will operate from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
• The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday
• The City of Ottawa Archives and Gallery 112 at the James Bartleman Centre will be closed from Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Malls

• Rideau Centre will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The mall is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Monday
• Tanger Outlets will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
• Bayshore Shopping Centre, Billings Bridge Shopping Centre, Carlingwood Shopping. Centre, St. Laurent Centre and Place d’Orléans will be open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.  The malls will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday.

Stores in the ByWard Market and the Glebe are permitted to open on Thanksgiving Monday.

Grocery stores

• Farm Boy at Rideau Centre will be open on Thanksgiving Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Loblaws on Isabella Street will be open on Monday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Loblaws on Rideau Street will be open on Thanksgiving Monday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Metro Glebe on Bank Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Monday.
• Metro on Rideau Street will be open Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Whole Foods at Lansdowne will be open on Monday.

Museums

• Canadian Museum of Nature will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Canada Agriculture and Food Museum will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Canada Science and Technology Museum will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Canada Aviation and Space Museum will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Canadian War Museum will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Canadian Museum of History will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• National Gallery of Canada will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Ottawa Art Gallery will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday
