A police officer in Gatineau, Que. has been arrested in connection to an alleged assault. The Gatineau Police Service says 51-year-old Stéphane Lizotte was arrested by officers with the MRC-des-Collines public security on Sunday. The officer was off duty at the time of the arrest. “The officer faces charges of armed assault or causing bodily harm,” police said in a media release. “The employee had already been suspended with pay following charges laid against him in a separate investigation.” No other information has been released.
