Fire damages spa in Ottawa’s east end

Investigators are searching for the cause of an evening fire at a spa in Ottawa’s east end.

The Ottawa Fire Services says it received a 9-1-1 call just after 8 p.m. Wednesday, reporting a fire in a building on Meadowbrook Road.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they reported a fire in the attic of the building, which is home to Fantasy Spa.

No one was inside the home when firefighters arrived on the scene.

The fire was declared under control just after 9 p.m.
