Delivery driver caught performing lewd act at provincial park in Ottawa: OPP

A 31-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges after a delivery driver was observed performing a lewd act while making a delivery at Fitzroy Provincial Park.

Ontario Provincial Police say they received a complaint from the park warden at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 28 about a delivery driver that was observed pleasuring himself while standing outside his vehicle at the park in Ottawa’s west end.

“The individual was observed masturbating for several seconds, while staring at one of the park employees,” Const. Michael Fathi said in a media release.

“When the female employee noticed what the individual was doing, she went to look for help. She then heard a loud noise and observed the van driving off at a high rate of speed and crash through the front gate of the park.”

Fathi said the same individual returned to the park to make another delivery on June 2. On June 5, police arrested the driver.

The driver is charged with indecent act – public place and careless driving.

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.

Fitzroy Provincial Park is located on Canon Smiths Drive in Fitzroy Harbour in Ottawa’s west end.
