Gatineau police say a seven-year-old child has died after being pulled from the Blanche River on Saturday. Police and firefighters were called to a section of the river near rue du Drakkar at around 1 p.m. Saturday on reports of a person in distress in the water. In an email to CTV News Ottawa, Gatineau police said the child was pronounced dead in hospital.
