The Capital Hoedown music festival has officially been cancelled said organizers is an media release. This comes after the City of Ottawa disapproved the city permit at Numech Ranch. Ticket holders will receive a credit card refund. “If you do not see the refund on your statement within one-week, we ask that you contact your credit card company,” said organizers. All purchases will be processed via the original credit card used to purchase the tickets. Organizers say higher than expected costs from the city, upfront production expenditures and lower than anticipated ticket sales were all factors for the cancellation. Officials say they will move on and begin planning for the Capital Hoedown in 2013.
