A broken watermain is causing traffic disruptions in downtown Ottawa on Monday. The broken pipe was first reported around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Albert Street and O’Connor Street. A large puddle of water was spotted covering one lane of traffic shortly after the pipe burst was first reported. By 10 a.m., the water had begun to recede. City of Ottawa crews were on the scene to assess the situation. Albert Street is reduced to two lanes of traffic at O’Connor Street due to the broken watermain.
