Travellers will soon be able to fly from Ottawa to two Atlantic Canada destinations. Air Canada announced it will launch new daily flights from the Ottawa International Airport to Fredericton and Moncton, starting Dec. 15. “Our newest Ottawa routes will connect the national capital region to two expanding areas in New Brunswick – its capital city, Fredericton, and Moncton, the province’s largest urban and fastest growing area,” Mark Galardo, executive vice president and Chief Commercial Officer and President of Cargo at Air Canada, said. “We have strategically designed these New Brunswick flights to connect in Ottawa to and from our domestic and sun network for additional travel choices.” According to Air Canada’s media release, the Ottawa-Fredericton flight will depart Ottawa at 3:40 p.m. and arrive at 6:10 p.m. AST. The Fredericton-Ottawa flight will depart Fredericton at 4:15 p.m. AST and arrive in Ottawa at 5 p.m. The Ottawa-Moncton flight will depart daily at 5:55 p.m., and the Moncton-Ottawa flight will depart at 5:50 a.m. AST. Porter Airlines currently operates flights between Ottawa and Moncton and Fredericton. Earlier this week, Air Canada confirmed it will suspend its Ottawa-London, England flight on Oct. 25 for the winter, with plans to resume the flight on March 30, 2026.
