Air Canada is rolling out a new bus service to connect travellers in Kingston to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. The airline announced that starting Sept. 23, its multi-modal Landline service will enable customers at Kingston’s Norman Rogers Airport to connect with Pearson Airport. There will be two return trips daily between Kingston and the Toronto airport. “We are delighted to be reconnecting customers in Kingston and the surrounding region to our global network,” Ranbir Singh, director of regional airlines and markets at Air Canada, said in a statement. “Customers travelling between Norman Rogers Airport and Toronto Pearson on Landline’s premium motorcoaches will enjoy the same benefits as those making air-only connections, including the convenience of a single itinerary and through-tagged baggage when departing Kingston, disruption protection, and Aeroplan earning opportunities.” The buses feature spacious leather seats and free WiFi. “The return of Air Canada to Kingston marks a critical step forward in reconnecting our community to the global economy,” said Craig Desjardins, the City of Kingston’s director of strategy, innovation and partnerships. “Reliable, integrated transportation links like this are essential to supporting our tourism sector, enabling workforce mobility, and strengthening Kingston’s appeal as a destination for conferences, investment, and innovation. This partnership with Air Canada and Landline ensures that Kingston remains open, accessible, and competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.” According to Air Canada, buses will depart Kingston at 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, with return trips departing Pearson Airport at 8:10 a.m. and 7:10 p.m. Air Canada and Landline launches intermodal service between Toronto’s Pearson Airport and the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and the Region of Waterloo International Airport in May 2024.
