Air Canada will halt its non-stop, direct flights from Ottawa to London, England over the winter, before service resumes next spring. The airline launched service between the Ottawa International Airport and London’s Heathrow Airport on March 31, with four flights a week between the two cities. The flights operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. An Air Canada spokesperson confirmed to CTV News Ottawa the Ottawa-London flight will end on October 25. “The plan is to resume on March 30, 2026.” The Air Canada flight from Ottawa to London is one of two overseas flights departing the Ottawa International Airport. Air France operates services between Ottawa and Paris. Boost in international travel The Ottawa International Airport has seen a boost in international travel this year, due to flights to London, Paris and other overseas destinations. Statistics on the Ottawa International Airport website show 336,764 passengers travelled internationally through the Ottawa Airport between January and August. There were 320,541 international travellers during the same period in 2024. There were 27,343 international travellers in August, up from 18,789 travellers in 2024.
