$55M Lotto Max jackpot won in Prescott-Russell

Someone in eastern Ontario is a multi-millionaire.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says a winning ticket for Friday’s $55 million Lotto Max jackpot was sold in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.

This is the first jackpot win of 2026, and comes after an $80 million jackpot in the Dec. 30, 2025 draw was won with a ticket sold in London, Ont., marking two straight wins in the province.

No other details about precisely where the winning $55 million ticket was sold were immediately available. Municipalities in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell include Alfred and Plantagenet, Casselman, Champlain Township, Clarence-Rockland, Hawkesbury, East Hawkesbury, The Nation, and Russell.

In addition to the jackpot, OLG says a ticket sold in Ajax, Ont. won a $100,000 Encore prize.
