Two drivers are facing stunt driving charges after being caught speeding 180 km/h on Highway 417 in Ottawa. Ontario Provincial Police said officers conducted traffic enforcement on Hwy. 417 Monday night. Police say officers observed drivers going 182 km/h and 184 km/h on the highway, while a third driver was caught going 168 km/h. The three drivers were charged with stunt driving, which includes a 30-day licence suspension and their vehicle impounded for 14 days. βOne of the drivers was additionally charged with Dangerous Driving under the Criminal Code,β police said. The speed limit is 100 km/h on Highway 417 through urban Ottawa, and 110 km/h on the highway from the Kanata area to Arnprior.
