Ottawa paramedics say a 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Kanata on Saturday. Paramedics say they were called to the area of Maxwell Bridge and March Road shortly after 9 p.m. According to paramedics, the boy was on a battery-operated scooter when he was struck by a vehicle that was making a turn. The 14-year-old was taken to CHEO to treat serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. Ottawa police say no charges have been laid at this time. With files from CTV’s Kimberley Fowler.
