OTTAWA - North America's foreign ministers are expected to focus on the unrest in Haiti when they meet north of Ottawa on Monday.

Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon will host the short meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Mexico's Patricia Espinosa.

The meeting in Wakefield, Quebec follows a week of violence in Haiti that erupted after Sunday's presidential election.

The election failed to produce a clear winner and officials in Ottawa are worried about the lack of a stable government.

A senior Canadian government official tells the Canadian Press there's concern that millions of dollars in earthquake aid money isn't getting to those who need it.

Cannon telephoned Haiti's president and prime minister yesterday to reiterate Canada's concerns.

Cannon has said the Wakefield meeting will include talks on the economy, security, energy and climate change.

But Canadian officials say there won't be enough time to have deep discussions on those topics.
