Ground has been broken for the $125 million Ontario Mine Rescue Training Academy in Greater Sudbury. The WSIB-funded facility, built on city-donated land, will offer advanced simulations including water, rope and confined-space rescue. Construction starts this fall, with the academy set to open in 2029.
