CUPE 4681-02 education workers (including RECEs, health workers, paraprofessionals, lunch monitors and more) rallied Monday after months of talks for their first collective agreement. The union says its employer, the Northeastern Catholic District School Board, is seeking benefit and vacation cuts. CUPE locals have voted 95% in favour of strike action.
