The City of North Bay is buying Laurentian Ski Hill and 50 hectares of escarpment lands for $1.4 million from the local conservation authority after a 10-1 council vote. Officials say it preserves green space and the conservation authority will remain a tenant. The local ski club is to negotiate a new lease. Eric Taschner explains.
