Timmins parents allege sons sexually assaulted on U18 hockey team
The parents of two former Timmins Majors U18 AAA players allege their sons were victims of hazing, bullying and sexual assault while on the team. The families say they reported the incidents to Hockey Canada's independent third party in January, describing a "continuing pattern" of abuse but received no response, so they went to the Children's Aid Society and Timmins police. A lawyer for the team said it takes player safety seriously but cannot comment due to the confidentiality of minors.
