In Sault Ste. Marie, a new partnership will transform a vacant college daycare into an 80-spot YMCA childcare centre, adding 10 infant, 30 toddler and 40 preschool spaces to combat a 2,000-child waitlist. Four spots will be held for students, with ECE placements on-site. Renovations will soon start and partners said they are hopeful for a May opening. Cory Nordstrom reports.
