Mining engineering teams from nine Canadian and U.S. universities compete in Sudbury this week at the first Laurentian University-hosted North American Mine Rescue Competition. They'll test rescue, first aid and problem-solving skills underground at Dynamic Earth, sharing cross-border knowledge on safety procedures. The winners will be announced Friday.
