Sudbury's Sandy MacEwan's team claimed its first-ever Northern Ontario men's curling title with an open draw in the tenth end. On the women's side, Krista Scharf of Thunder Bay captured the championship, earning a spot at her 13th Scotties Tournament of Hearts later this month in Mississauga.
