Chadwic Home in Chapleau now offers an on-site emergency shelter for women, children and their pets, removing a key barrier to fleeing abuse. The upgrade is part of Purina's Purple Leash Project, which is funding similar pet-friendly spaces at shelters across Canada. Lyndsay Aelick reports.
