Sault Ste. Marie partners with the Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority to develop the Port of Algoma. The "Sault to the South" trade corridor aims to move truck freight to water, reducing highway congestion and greenhouse gas emissions. A study on the port's size and location is due back in November.
