Kristopher Lavallee, convicted of the 2009 murder and dismemberment of 15-year-old Whitney Van Der Wouden in Sudbury, has been granted 90-day day parole. He will attend a substance abuse treatment program in B.C. before returning to jail. The victim's sister called the ruling "inhuman."
