Two wanted men and a teen from southern Ontario were arrested in a Sudbury raid Thursday where police seized a loaded gun and $63,000 in drugs. Detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Whittaker Street in the city’s West End with the help of the canine and emergency response units, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release Friday. “Two individuals from southern Ontario were taken into custody and a third individual, a youth, was detained at the residence,” police said. “Detectives located 531 grams of cocaine, 89 grams of fentanyl, 10 – 5mg oxycodone pills, and over $25,000 in cash. Detectives also located a loaded handgun. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $63,000.” As a result, the two men – ages 23 and 25 – and a 17-year-old are charged with three counts each of drug trafficking, firearm-related offences and possession of property obtained by crime. The men are also charged with having a firearm while under a prohibition order.
