Stunt driving charges laid following incident on Trout Lake Road in North Bay

Police in North Bay charged one person with stunt driving following an incident Jan. 30 on Trout Lake Road near Lakeside Drive.

“Excessive speed reduces the time available to react and significantly increases both the likelihood and severity of collisions,” Acting Insp. Vincent Corrente said in the post.

“No destination is worth that risk.”

The driver was charged and will have to appear in court. They were also given a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for two weeks.

If convicted, they also face fines and demerit points.

“Please slow down and protect yourself, and the safety of our community,” police said.
