Ontario Provincial Police say a shelter in place has been lifted in the area of Highway 11 and Rainbow Lake Road in Sesekinika, northwest of Kirkland Lake. “An individual has been taken into custody,” police said in an update. “Members of the public in this area may resume their regular activities. The OPP thanks the public.” Officers had been searching for an individual in possession of a weapon, police said on its northeast region website Monday at 8:50 a.m. “The individual may be driving a dark grey older model RAM pickup truck with Ontario plate BB80004,” police said. Police advise the public in the area to remain indoors with doors and windows locked, and avoid approaching the area at this time.
